134 new staff!
This week, we added 134 staff to our payroll, more than doubling the size of the organisation. These people are all HCBCs (home and community based carers; previously called "Nompilos" or community health workers). Who work in the areas covered by Mosvold Hospital and Bethesda Hospital.
This move greatly strengthens our links with the Department of Health as the two hospitals provide facilitators who supervise these staff. We shall be seeing how this programme can be integrated with our existing Home Based Care Programme in order to provide a better service to the community overall and palliative care to those who need it.
Sponsor the director to lose 20kg!
Ann is planning to lose 20kg by her 40th birthday in October. Funds raised will go towards building the new centre. She started in September last year and lost 10kg in the first 6 months, so is on target to become a fitter, trimmer leader!
